A STATEMENT FROM THE ALDERSGATE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ABOUT DIVERSITY, INCLUSION and EQUITY:
Aldersgate is located in the uniquely diverse East Charlotte Community. In 2016, the Board of Directors at Aldersgate engaged to develop an organization-wide diversity and inclusion strategic plan to be implemented and evaluated ongoing. Our organization is committed to embracing diversity and treating everyone with dignity and respect, and to support an inclusive culture. The ultimate goal is to make Aldersgate more equitable for elders we serve, staff, and board members by fully embracing all dimensions of diversity including race, age, religion, color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, disability, culture, socioeconomic status, and other facets of life that make our community unique.
Aldersgate is proud to partner with a diverse group of community organizations to help further the mission of bringing more services and resources to the elders that live on the campus and surrounding areas. We are also dedicated to serving those around us by listening to the needs of the community and responding to them with meaningful activities and outlets, unique offerings of space and volunteerism. Through Mission Advancement we continue to remain rooted in our values of service.
